Logan Mailloux trade: the defenseman opens up and it's big for the Canadiens
Trade rumors involving Logan Mailloux aren't new, and there will probably be more until he becomes untouchable, if that ever happens.
For now, he's doing everything he can to secure a regular spot with the Canadiens, and let me tell you, he's working twice as hard at rookie camp.
Last year, he completed the Canadiens' camp but was sent to Laval just before the start of the season. He learned to become a true professional and now feels ready to take the next step this year.
As for the trade rumors, I don't know if they're true, but the main person involved has one thing in mind: playing for the Canadiens for his entire career.
Some might think that in the future top 4 (Kaiden Guhle, David Reinbacher, Logan Mailloux, Lane Hutson), Logan Mailloux would be the one sacrificed if there had to be one.
I'm not so sure about that. He has all the tools to succeed-size, speed, shooting ability, and fire in his eyes. He's a fan of his own team and takes great pride in wearing the Canadiens' uniform.
Players like him, who give their all on the ice every shift and possess extraordinary talent, aren't the ones you get rid of, and Kent Hughes knows this very well.
