Kent Hughes appears to have been the only one willing to take a risk with Patrik Laine, but that's far from the case.

Several teams were also interested, and more light is being shed on the potential destinations the Finnish forward could have chosen.

Patrik Laine seems happy to be in Montreal and didn't have to adjust his no-movement clause. However, this wasn't the case for Daniel Brière and the Flyers, as we reported last week.

Indeed, Patrik Laine didn't want to go to Philadelphia, and the Flyers were on his list of 10 teams he refused to play for. Today, another team has been added.

"In an interview with The Minnesota Star Tribune, Wild GM Bill Guerin admitted that Laine didn't want to join his team, implying that they were on the list of 10 teams the Finn didn't want to be traded to." - TVA Sports

So, Patrik Laine categorically refused to join both the Flyers and the Wild before being traded to Montreal. He's one of the few players who, in some way, actually wanted to play for the Canadiens.

This speaks volumes about his desire to help the Habs progress and be part of the club's future. I'm really excited to see him in action and hope his stats and efforts will match his talent!
