Major announcement involving Ivan Demidov and Evgeny Kuznetsov: it's over
Ivan Demidov is now a member of the Canadiens in the NHL, and he could well arrive in the NHL at the end of next season.
With the KHL campaign ending before the NHL's, Demidov could follow the path of NCAA players and extend his season after signing his entry-level contract.
Until then, he won't get a taste of North American hockey, but he will have valuable assistance.
Indeed, Evgeny Kuznetsov has reportedly decided to cancel the remaining year on his NHL contract to sign with Demidov's team in the KHL.
"Evgeny Kuznetsov had one year left on his contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, but it appears he will not play in the NHL next season.
The Russian forward will break his contract with the Raleigh team to sign a four-year deal with SKA Saint Petersburg. This was reported by the Russian media championat.com."

This means the young man will have an NHL veteran by his side who can certainly help him prepare for the NHL.
As for Kuznetsov, his deal in Russia must be quite lucrative, given that he is giving up $7.8 million US. That's a lot of money, but I imagine his four-year agreement with SKA is quite convincing.
