MAJOR: The entire first line of the Canadiens is sidelined, and it's a cause for concern
Yesterday, we reported that Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield missed the pre-game practice to receive treatments. For the captain, it's becoming a recurring issue, and it's quite concerning.
Now, a third player has joined them, as the entire first line was absent from Sunday morning's MANDATORY practice.
Indeed, Suzuki, Caufield, and Juraj Slafkovsky are all missing. The four-day break is coming at the right time because this situation is genuinely scary.
"Forwards Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky and Nick Suzuki will not participate in today's practice (therapy day)." - Montreal Canadiens
There will be a significant gap in the practice, and it can be inferred that none of the three are currently at 100%. Fortunately for other teams, as they are simply on fire right now.
The Canadiens' first line is pretty much the only one that consistently performs night after night. If any of them get injured, it could be catastrophic.
