Over the past few days, an interesting rumor has surfaced indicating that forward Casey Mittelstadt may be available in Buffalo. Given the number of players they need to sign, the potential salary demand, and the promising young talent upfront, it's not surprising.

Andrew Peters broke the news, and it didn't take long for speculation surrounding the Canadiens to emerge. It makes sense, considering Buffalo has many promising forward prospects but lacks depth on defense, which is the opposite for the Habs.
