Marc Bergevin has been working with the Los Angeles Kings organization and Rob Blake for a few years now. He's currently an assistant general manager, but that might not last long.

Indeed, the former Canadiens GM is the favorite for the vacant GM position with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Usually, when rumors are this strong, it's only a matter of time before they're confirmed.

Bergevin could use his new job to pull the rug out from under the Canadiens. Why? Because he'll be picking 4th overall in the draft, one spot ahead of the Canadiens.

But there's more. According to rumors, the player he has his eye on is the towering Cayden Lindstrom. It just so happens that the Canadiens do too. Interesting, isn't it?

"If Marc Bergevin becomes the next GM of the Columbus Blue Jackets before the NHL Draft, he's almost certainly taking big Cayden Lindstrom with the 4th pick." - HabsOnReddit

This could hurt, really hurt Kent Hughes, especially if Ivan Demidov isn't available.

We know that Mathias Brunet mentioned earlier this week that the Canadiens won't be drafting the prolific scorer Cole Eiserman from a reliable source.

If Demidov and Lindstrom aren't available at the 5th pick, I'm afraid I know what's coming next.
