After several rumors about the Canadiens' interest in forward Martin Necas, it appears that new information has emerged this week regarding the Carolina Hurricanes forward.
According to TVA Sports, and via information from renowned journalist Pierre LeBrun, a generous offer has been made to the Carolina Hurricanes and could potentially be accepted in the next few hours.

It should be noted that Kent Hughes is among the few managers who still have the necessary cap space today to agree on a long-term deal with the targeted player. The team has a significant margin under the NHL salary cap, which would allow them to welcome the Hurricanes forward.
