A hometown forward who developed in the US system has just reached an agreement with the Montreal Canadiens' affiliate team, and he is an interesting addition for the Trois-Rivières Lions.

Originally from Verdun, prospect Ryan Brushett has agreed to a one-season deal with the Trois-Rivières Lions.

He will therefore begin his professional career after five years in the university ranks in the United States. It would be no surprise if he is among Ron Choules' best players in 2024-2025.

"Ryan Brushett will start his first season with the Lions!

His offensive flair and defensive rigor will be a valuable asset to the team and could allow him to move up to the Laval Rocket with recalls and injuries.

Welcome to the team, Ryan!"

It will be interesting to see him develop in the ECHL to see what he is capable of.

He will be another name to watch next September, as he has been productive in the NCAA.

At 26 years old, Brushett is a 6-foot, 175-pound center who amassed 21 points in 37 games last season in the NCAA.

He also recorded 22 points in 35 games with UMass-Lowell University in 2022.

Details to follow.
