Martin St-Louis offers a surprise press conference to the Canadiens
We didn't believe it anymore, but it finally happened. Following the announcement that there was no practice for the Canadiens, it was strongly believed that there would be no press conference from Martin St-Louis this afternoon.
However, against all odds, the Canadiens' coach showed up before the media in Denver, and despite his intentions to focus solely on the team and the end of the season, he agreed to talk about his personal life right from the start.
"I have a good team here, but I also have a good team at home. My wife and children are extraordinary," said Martin St-Louis.
He notably mentioned that Mason is doing better and that it was now time to return to the team. We know that Martin stays away from his family during the season and that it must not always be easy.
So it's perfectly normal that he took time to be with them. If his family had been in Montreal and the Canadiens had played at home, things could have been different.
