Martin St-Louis takes an important decision before leaving the CH
Martin St-Louis had a day of meetings with his assistants and several players one-on-one on Wednesday, and his plan was to leave Thursday for Vermont to join his family. He made an important decision beforehand.
Indeed, the coach had never committed to the team long-term, but now he made an important statement.
"I love what I do, it's a passion, it's not a job. I will be here until they no longer want me." - Martin St-Louis
Given what happened with his son and his family who live far away, whom he misses, it's incredible to hear him say that, and it's excellent news.
We can therefore say without a doubt that the only reason he would leave Montreal permanently is if he were let go; otherwise, he will remain the head coach of the team.
This is the best news in a long time!
