A direct rival of the Canadiens will be sold and it's surprising
A direct rival of the Montreal Canadiens will be sold, and this information is quite surprising.
Indeed, the Buffalo Sabres will be sold as the owner is moving on.
"According to his sources, the billionaire will divest himself of all his sports teams except for the Buffalo Bills (NFL). This includes the Sabres, the Rochester Americans (AHL), the Buffalo Bandits (NLL), and the Rochester Nighthawks (NLL)." - Via TVA Sports
It appears that Terry Pegula is expected to sell the Sabres. Given the established market there, it would be surprising if there were a relocation.
With promising young players, there's no doubt that the team will be in demand and that there will be several potential investors.
