Condotta had been recalled as a precaution when Josh Anderson did not finish Saturday night's game against the St. Louis Blues. However, the forward ultimately played Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Condotta is having a good start to the season with the Rocket, playing on the first line with Alex Barré-Boulet and Joshua Roy. In fact, many believed that one of those two would be recalled before Condotta, but apparently, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes wanted a more physical player to fill a gap in case Anderson was unable to play.
In six games since the start of the season, Condotta has collected three points with the Laval Rocket, coached by Pascal Vincent.
The club's leading scorer is none other than Alex Barré-Boulet, with an impressive eight points in four games. It's hard to understand how a guy like ABB dominates in the American League, but can't seem to establish himself in the NHL, in a regular role.
The Habs are off today, after playing two consecutive games, Saturday and Sunday. This will be a great opportunity for some players to heal a few minor injuries.
