The Montreal Canadiens host the Seattle Kraken tonight in Montreal, and for the occasion, the players are training at the Bell Centre in preparation for the game.

We are patiently waiting for the return to play of several injured players, players who are very important to the team's success. They are eager to come back and we are eager to see them.

It is now confirmed that they are close to a return, as Juraj Slafkovsky, Kaiden Guhle and Justin Barron, all injured in the upper body, trained with a normal jersey this morning.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard, who should theoretically only return in December, was still wearing a non-contact jersey, but his rehabilitation is going well, in all likelihood.

This is very good news, even if it does not guarantee that the three players will be back. With the impact they have on the team, especially Guhle and Slafkovsky, the simple fact that they are close to a return is a victory in itself.

They could even play tonight, but we will have to wait for the coach's press conference following the team's practice.

Slafkovsky has obtained six points in as many games this season. He is on a mission and he hopes to accumulate a point per game, like his two linemates Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.

Guhle could find himself on the first pair alongside Michael Matheson and defend against the best opposing players, which is what he does best.

All that's missing is Patrik Laine to see on the ice, and that shouldn't be long either. The Finn is no longer wearing a splint and he walks freely, without mud.

Once all the elements are back and there are no more injuries in the lineup, the Canadiens could really surprise.
