New job behind the bench for Paul Byron: he breaks the silence
What a great find by Marc Bergevin when he claimed Paul Byron off waivers on February 6, 2015.
The forward quickly became a leader in the team, and he provided excellent services to the organization over the years.
Byron truly has the Canadiens at heart. Unfortunately, injuries ended his playing career, but he is so valued within the organization that he immediately landed a role in player development.
All coaching positions within the Laval Rocket have been extended, but Kelly Buchberger's departure sparked many reactions, including rumors about Paul Byron.

Indeed, many people started saying that Paul Byron could be behind the Rocket's bench to assist Houle, and the man himself finally set the record straight.
"For the moment, no. It's a full-time job. Even more than when you're playing. You spend so much time at the rink doing video, preparing practices and games, traveling...
It's just something I'm not ready for in my life right now." - Paul Byron
So, you can forget, at least in the short term, about seeing Byron behind the bench of a team. It's confirmed.
