In the past few hours, Gary Bettman and the NHL made a major and historic announcement that speaks volumes about the NHL's health.

Indeed, the sport is in very good health, and the commissioner did not hesitate to share this. The level of excitement is truly incredible.

Nearly 23 million tickets sold and 97% capacity reached for the games.»

This is truly incredible news, especially with 32 teams. To say that 97% of the tickets available in the 32 arenas were sold is noteworthy.

We immediately think of the Arizona Coyotes, who weren't very popular, but they played in a neighborhood arena with very limited seating, which certainly made a difference.

This is really major for the NHL and for our beautiful national sport of hockey, but it certainly won't encourage Bettman to make extra efforts to bring a team back to Canada.

We think of the Quebec Nordiques and their potential investors, who will have to work tirelessly to bring a team back.
