Next acquisition for the Habs: Kent Hughes targeting Martin Necas?
Kent Hughes intends to improve the Canadiens by acquiring a promising young forward. His target could very well be Martin Necas.
At least that's what Renaud Lavoie suggests. During the Hurricanes' visit to the Bell Centre, the journalist made quite a statement.
After Sebastian Aho and Jesperi Kotkaniemi, both of whom received an offer sheet from the opposing team, could Necas be next?
"It may not be over yet."

Personally, I don't believe Kent Hughes would do such a thing. Given that the relationship between the two teams is fragile already, the Canadiens' GM must tread carefully.
However, this doesn't rule out the possibility of a trade. While the Hurricanes' GM may have a long memory, he remains a professional and understands that the Canadiens' management is no longer the same.
