Official: The Canadiens will have high-quality reinforcements in the coming weeks with Lane Hutson
The Canadiens' fans are unanimous; the arrival of Lane Hutson with the team is highly anticipated. In fact, everyone on the team is eager to see the young defenseman in action.
Hutson is a gem for the organization. He has been truly dominant in the NCAA since his first strides on the ice. We're talking about a player whose statistics are comparable to those of Adam Fox, Cale Makar, and Quinn Hughes in this league.
Lane is notably nominated for a major honor as he takes his first steps into the NHL.
"The Canadiens' prospect (Lane Hutson) is among the ten finalists for the Hobey Baker Award, given to the most outstanding player in American collegiate hockey. Macklin Celebrini and Cutter Gauthier are also nominated, notably." - Via BPM Sports Hutson was also nominated last year, but he didn't win. This year, he has real chances of walking away with top honors.
Following his season, he will sign his contract with the Canadiens and finish the campaign with the Habs, much like Sean Farrell did last year.
