Patrik Laine is coming to the Canadiens, confirmed by Elliotte Friedman
After several weeks of rumors, Patrik Laine is finally heading to Montreal.
We don't have the full details of the trade yet, but insider Elliotte Friedman has just confirmed it.
Update: Defenseman Jordan Harris is heading to Columbus, and the Canadiens receive a 2026 second-round pick.
This means that Jordan Harris has brought in Patrik Laine, a top scorer, and a second-round pick.
An excellent move by Kent Hughes! We don't yet know if the Blue Jackets are retaining any salary, but given the value exchanged, it's likely they aren't.
More details to follow.
