Rumors about Patrik Laine: everything is false, and he is a very good teammate
For several years, there have been rumors that Patrik Laine is not a good teammate, but we've just received confirmation that this is completely false.
Indeed, the Finnish player has had personal issues, but he has done what it takes to address them, which is to his credit. It takes a lot of courage to admit one's problems and seek help.
This doesn't make him a bad person or a bad teammate; quite the opposite. In fact, journalist Aaron Portzline, who has covered the team for a long time, has confirmed this information.
Nevertheless, Aaron Portzline assures that he has never perceived Laine as a cancer in the locker room, far from it.
"Last season, more than ever before, you could feel that he was trying to establish himself as a leader in the room. He really took Adam Fantilli under his wing. Fantilli even stayed at his home for a while," he said.
"I don't believe this is something he would have done before. He really took a step forward. It was something new for him," he continued.
- Via TVA Sports and Le Journal de Montréal It's reassuring to read such positive things after having seen less favorable reports about him. We know that four of his teammates had requested his trade, but the organization decided to keep him.
There is also a lot of talk about him not being liked in Winnipeg, but I prefer to believe that he was appreciated and is ready to take on a leadership role with the Canadiens.
I would have been very surprised if Kent Hughes took the risk of disrupting his locker room. We know that the Canadiens' players are very close-knit, and Patrik Laine will be a great addition to the group.
