The Canadiens have made a concerning announcement regarding Patrik Laine
Training camp has just begun, and already the trio of Kirby Dach, Patrik Laine, and Alex Newhook is starting to build some chemistry.
It's not perfect, and it will take some time, but comparing the progress from day one to day two, it's very encouraging.
We shouldn't forget that all three missed a significant amount of hockey last year. Alex Newhook had a strong finish to his season, but for Kirby Dach and Patrik Laine, their last time on the ice was a while ago.
While chemistry seems to be forming, the Canadiens released a concerning statement regarding Patrik Laine. He will be absent today to receive treatments.
It's becoming a bit of a trend with the Canadiens. We have to admit that it's quite effective, as both Nick Suzuki and Juraj Slafkovsky benefited from it last year, while still playing all 82 games.
