Last February, Kent Hughes made a smart move by claiming a forward on waivers from Pittsburgh.

Indeed, Colin White, a former first-round pick who had 41 points at 21 years old in the NHL, was coming to Montreal.

His contract expired on July 1, so the Canadiens didn't technically lose him, but rumors suggested that Kent Hughes might offer him another contract to serve as a depth player.

It's worth noting that Colin White is a former client of Kent Hughes, which explains the strong connection between the two.

In addition to liking to bring back former first-round picks to the Canadiens, Kent Hughes also enjoys bringing back former clients from his time as an agent.

It makes sense, as he chooses his players like his clients, meaning good people with strong values.

In any case, Colin White will continue his career with the San Jose Sharks organization.

So, Colin White will continue his career in the American Hockey League. At 27 years old, it's not too late for him. We hope he can bounce back and regain his place in the NHL.
