The Canadiens' organization would be about to lose a forward
We never like to report this kind of news, but the Canadiens' organization would be about to lose a Québécois forward.
Indeed, the native of Lachenaie, Philippe Maillet, is reportedly nearing the end of his time with the Rocket, according to a source. He could very well return to the KHL.
It's unfortunate for the farm team because Maillet has been very useful, tallying 47 points in 61 games, including 19 goals.
"Philippe Maillet may be heading back to the KHL"
With his chances of breaking into the NHL being quite slim, Maillet would thus return to play in the second-best league in the world.
He has also worn the colors of Metallurg for two seasons before joining the Laval Rocket.
