The next big move by Kent Hughes already revealed? The general manager could turn to the Devils and Alexander Holtz
In the last few hours, we learned about the trade between the Canadiens and the Ducks for the 2020 first-round pick, Jacob Perreault.
It's currently an AHL-level transaction, but it could pay off for Montreal. Perreault is still very young, and his development is far from over.
Moreover, he fits perfectly into the type of player Hughes likes, much like Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook. A young player with great potential, and the shopping may not be over.
According to Marco D'Amico, we should keep an eye out for Alexander Holtz of the New Jersey Devils. He could be the next young player to change teams.
We know that the Devils have good depth up front, and they will have to pay to acquire defensemen and a goalie. Holtz seems to be the target, and he has a very promising development curve.
With the young defensemen and all the picks the Canadiens have, it's only natural to make a connection between the two teams. To be continued...
