The Next Destination for Brandon Gignac is Now Known

Yesterday, the Canadiens placed forward Brandon Gignac on waivers with the intention of sending him to the Laval Rocket. However, a crucial step had to be taken � avoiding being claimed by the other 31 teams in the league.

It's often said that players who average a point per game in the AHL are more than ready for the NHL. Gignac performed well in Montreal and has 42 points in 43 games in the American Hockey League.
