The real reason for Martin St-Louis' departure has come to light, and his son is indeed involved
Since Martin St-Louis left the Canadiens last Saturday, people have been very curious to know the real reason for his absence. We know it's about his son, but apart from that, it's status quo.
And that's perfectly fine. Some privileged individuals have the details, but we don't need to know them. However, there is currently some public information circulating that provides a good indication of what's going on.
Indeed, Max Truman shared this information, which was already public and known to many internet users and fans.
"What I'm going to tell you is that if you're a big boy or a big girl, and you type - Mason Scary Collision - on Twitter, you'll find out why he's not there (Martin St-Louis). [...]
There's a public part to the reason for Martin St-Louis' absence."

Indeed, his son Mason is involved, and there is an official post about what happened to him. For reasons of delicacy, even though the reason is public, I remind you. So, you have the choice to see it or not.
Here is the post from the Mid Fairfield team, with whom Mason St-Louis plays.
"Hard fought 7-3 win vs SPA. Hard to be happy as our friend and teammate Mason left the game in the 3rd after a scary collision. Good news is he's going to be okay but it takes an emotional toll. Have to do our best to re-focus and get ready for a battle tomorrow vs MSC at 8am."
- Mid Fairfield 08s
I'll let you draw your own conclusions, but it's perfectly normal for Martin to be by his side, and I wish them all the best for the whole family.
