Trade involving the Canadiens and David Savard: Bob Hartley speaks out
In the trade rumors surrounding the Canadiens, the name of David Savard is often mentioned. Kent Hughes stated that he is not actively seeking to trade him, but if the right offer comes along, it would be foolish not to consider it.
For instance, if the Canadiens were offered a draft pick, even a first-round pick, most people wouldn't hesitate, according to a survey by BPM Sports.
However, for Bob Hartley, it's a categorical no.
"Trading David Savard for a draft pick? It's a categorical no for Bob Hartley!
What do you think?"

Hartley explains that Savard is too important for the team and for the development of young defensemen on the roster, such as Kaiden Guhle and Arber Xhekaj. If Kent Hughes were offered a young prospect equivalent to Nick Suzuki, then he would seriously consider it.
The chances of such an offer are very slim, so it will be interesting to see if Kent Hughes's criteria remain the same.
