Upcoming suspension for the Canadiens: Kaiden Guhle would be targeted
It stirred up between the Canadiens and the Flyers on Thursday night. There might be a suspension imposed by the NHL, and the player targeted would be Kaiden Guhle.
That's at least what the Flyers players are demanding. And even though I love Guhle and admired the character of the CH players during the game, he deserves a sanction in my eyes.
The defenseman was legally but firmly hit by Travis Konecny. To retaliate, he struck him with a stick, but he was on the bench when he did it.
"After being solidly hit in the corner by Travis Konecny, Kaiden Guhle decided to retaliate against Konecny by hitting him with a stick while he was sitting on his team's bench and his opponent passed in front of him. An act strictly illegal in the regulations and condemned by the league."
It's a reprehensible gesture, without a doubt, and the NHL Player Safety Department will have to look into this action by Guhle. A fine at the minimum is to be expected in my opinion.
