Very concerning statement from the Montreal Canadiens regarding Brendan Gallagher
With the injuries he has endured in recent years, it's always worrying to see Brendan Gallagher writhing in pain on the Montreal Canadiens' bench.
It has happened a few times this year, most recently in the last game. We are still awaiting confirmation that he will be able to play on Sunday, but in the meantime, he was not at practice this morning.
"Brendan Gallagher will not participate in today's practice (therapy day)."
- Montreal Canadiens
For the first time since the condensed season due to the pandemic, Gally has finally been able to play all games, except for those missed due to suspension.
It would be really unfortunate if he had to miss time now. He may not be the Gallagher of yesteryears who scored 30 goals, but he is still able to make an impact on the third line with 11 goals, his highest total since the 2020-21 season.
Let's hope his injury is not too severe and that he will be able to play Sunday night in Seattle, as the Canadiens have a break this Saturday.
