Patrick Roy is already making a significant change in New York
It's known that Lou Lamoriello imposes strict rules on his players and staff, such as having a clean-shaven face and well-groomed hair. These rules, though perceived by some as old-fashioned, aim to instill team discipline and ensure everyone is on an equal footing.
In this spirit, Patrick Roy has added a new rule. From now on, no player is allowed to stay on the ice for extra practice after training sessions. They must all leave the ice together.
"Among the habits he's trying to change, he has introduced a new rule: no more lingering on the ice for extra exercises after practice. Now, everyone leaves together, reinforcing the team spirit." Via Samuel Doiron
Certainly, the team chemistry in the locker room may not be at its best for such a rule to be implemented. Patrick is clearly making changes and seems to be doing it effectively.
