Sunday night, the Colorado Avalanche visited the poor San Jose Sharks.

However, it is not the result that interests us here, the Avalanche won by a score of 4-1, but rather a rather embarrassing situation in which the organization placed itself during this meeting.

As reported by the site Habsolumentfan.com, Sharks starting goalie Vitek Vanecek wore a jersey with a major mistake in his last name .

In fact, we could read VANACEK instead of VANECEK, which not only placed the organization in embarrassment, but the Sharks also became the target of many Internet users, who did not hesitate to deride them on social networks.

But as you know, the Sharks have become something of a laughingstock throughout the NHL because they have been languishing in the bottom of the Bettman circuit for a few seasons and currently occupy 31st place in the overall rankings.

In fact, they still haven't collected a single victory so far and only the Nashville Predators have done worse than them since the start of the 2024-2025 season.

However, the season was shaping up to be rather interesting for the Californian organization with the selection of Macklin Celebrini with the very first pick in the last draft and the arrival via transaction of young prospect in front of the net Yaroslav Askarov.

But now Celebrini has been limited to just one game due to an injury and Askarov is playing in the American League where he currently dominates all goalkeepers.

Even if the season is young, we should not expect to see the Sharks be a team that will fight for a place in the playoffs and it is a safe bet that they will fight once again for the lottery of the next draft.
