We just learned some excellent news live from the Bell Centre, concerning the star forward of the Montreal Canadiens, Patrik Laine.

Injured in the left knee, following contact with Cédric Paré, suffered during a pre-season game against the Maple Leafs, Laine will have to miss at least two to three months of activities. If all goes well, he should be able to return to the game by the end of December or early 2025.

And of course, we are not doctors, but his recovery seems to be going well. Why? Because he was seen by journalists today in the corridors of the Bell Centre, without his crutches, but with a knee brace.

One more step for his rehabilitation, which is faster than expected, considering that he has not had surgery. If that were the case, he would have had to, like David Reinbacher, sit out for at least five to six months, or practically the entire season.

No regular season games since December 2023

Yes, Montreal Canadiens fans were very excited to see Patrik Laine play preseason games, but in reality, he hasn't played a single regular season game since December 2023.

First, he injured his shoulder and then he joined the NHL's assistance program.

So, in the end, he hasn't scored a single point in the NHL since December 2023. In fact, during that campaign, he had nine points in 18 games.

In his career, in the circuit Bettman, the second overall pick in 2016, collected 388 points in 480 games.
