The NHL season has started and for the Canadiens, we tend to forget that an exceptional player will be available in the coming weeks in Patrik Laine.

Indeed, the Finn avoided the worst with his knee injury and his absence was estimated at two to three months, which is very good in the circumstances.

It seems that his recovery is going well, as he was posed without crutches, playing with his dog Boogie. This is really good news!

Needless to say, he will have a positive impact on the second line, which has been as dry as the desert since the beginning of the season.

His return will certainly be noticed and seeing him already without crutches, my little finger tells me that we can hope for more the 2 months than the 3 months of absence in total.

Patrik Laine back in the game sooner?

We must not overlook the fact that Patrik Laine can return to the game sooner than possible. If he starts training again in the next few days, he will certainly be one to watch.

It is often said, but Patrik Laine is quite the hockey player, and his entrance on the scene is highly anticipated.

He is able to score a point per game and be the Canadiens' most productive forward, in addition to really looking happy in Montreal, from what little we have seen.

In his career, he has 204 goals and 388 points in 480 games. That's more than good for a 26-year-old who still has a lot of very good years ahead of him.

He will therefore most likely be paired with Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook when he returns to the game. At the risk of repeating myself, he will certainly be a spark plug for those two.
