A first-round draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens has just signed a contract, while Ryan Poehling remains in Philadelphia
The Montreal Canadiens' first-round pick, 25th overall in 2017, Ryan Poehling, has just signed a two-season contract extension with the Philadelphia Flyers.
He has finally found his place in the NHL, after not being able to make an impression with the Canadiens and the Penguins previously.
"$1.9M AAV for 2 yrs for poehling."
It's indeed a big day for Daniel Brière, who earlier reached an agreement with forward Owen Tippett.
Poehling had a significant impact in the NHL right from his first game, scoring three goals and a fourth in the shootout. However, the label of a potentially offensive player turned out to be short-lived.
Congratulations to him anyway. He worked hard, never gave up, and is now rewarded. Moreover, the Flyers are having an impressive season, currently ranking 3rd in their highly competitive division.
