Gary Bettman loses his temper with a journalist regarding the 2018 Team Canada junior scandal
In the past few minutes, Gary Bettman was available to the media during a press conference in Toronto. The commissioner took the opportunity to announce significant news.
Indeed, NHL players will be back at the Olympics for 2026 and 2030. It's great news, but something we saw coming. The announcement comes just in time for Bettman to avoid too many questions about the Team Canada junior scandal.
A journalist named Robyn Doolittle did an excellent job bringing information about the scandal to light, and she certainly wasn't going to let Gary off easy. In short, she did her job.
She persisted in her questions to get the commissioner to spill the beans, to the point where he got angry during the press conference.
After a string of questions from @robyndoolittle, who has done incredible reporting on the 2018 World Junior sexual assault, Bettman stopped her and said:
«Are we having a personal conversation? Should we open the floor to others?»
Bettman didn't want anything to do with answering her questions, and it's quite evident. You can listen to the entire press conference below.
