Plot twist: Connor Bedard is heading to Toronto
Unfortunately, Connor Bedard has suffered a fractured jaw from contact, and he will be out of the game for a few more weeks. It's truly unfortunate because we want the stars on the ice.
This injury dashes his chances of winning the Calder Trophy, much like what happened to Connor McDavid in his rookie season.
While Bedard was the representative for the Chicago Blackhawks at the All-Star Game, he had to be replaced. However, in a surprising turn of events, he will still be present in Toronto!
Of course, Bedard won't participate in the game or skills competition, but fans will still be treated!
"Announcement from @sherwoodhockey says Connor Bedard will be in Toronto during NHL All-Star weekend with an appearance at Maple Leaf Square on Saturday."
Indeed, fans will get to see him in action in a shooting competition. We know that even at such a young age, he already possesses one of the best shots in the NHL, so it promises to be exciting!
