A former Montreal Canadiens player is now available for all teams
Before the start of the season, some teams equipped themselves with enforcers for the campaign. Of course, the Canadiens had Arber Xhekaj, Toronto brought in Ryan Reaves, and Ottawa signed Zack MacEwen.
Expectations were high for physical play, but it has not materialized. The three tough guys are hardly used, and they don't have the opportunity to showcase their skills. In short, their value is not significant.
So much so that MacEwen went on waivers yesterday and was not claimed.
Today, it's the turn of former Canadiens player Tyler Pitlick. The New York Rangers seem to have had enough.
In 34 games in New York this year, he accumulated four points, including one goal. Teams have until 2:00 PM on Wednesday to claim him.
Pitlick was acquired by the Canadiens in the trade sending Tyler Toffoli to Calgary.
