The hockey community is grieving the announcement of the death of Henry "Hank" Bradford, a 22-year-old goaltender, which occurred under tragic circumstances.

According to various sources, Bradford, who played for the University of Oregon (ACHA), passed away "unexpectedly." Over the past three seasons, he played 20 games with the university team and also had stints with the Utica Jr. Comets in the USPHL Premier and the NCDC.

A young talent lost

Born in 2001, Bradford distinguished himself with his talent and passion for hockey. His teammates and coaches describe him not only as a skilled goaltender but also as a generous and kind-hearted person.

In a poignant message released by the University of Oregon hockey team, he was referred to as an "incredibly kind man" and a "better human being." These tributes resonate deeply in light of this tragic event.

"Hank was just as remarkable off the ice as he was on it. He touched the lives of so many," the team stated.

A heartbreaking loss

The official statement mentioned an "unexpected incident," leaving the hockey community in shock. While the exact details of the cause of his death are not yet known, his mother, Karin Erickson Bradford, indicated on social media that it could be related to a "cardiac incident" that occurred in his apartment.

Messages of condolence are pouring in from all directions, and we extend our support to Henry Bradford's family and loved ones during this extremely difficult time. The loss of such a promising young man is a heavy blow to all who knew him.
