Stoppage of play due to a question of sunlight in an NHL arena
We just witnessed a really bizarre scene as the game was stopped mid-match due to sunlight shining into the arena.
Indeed, Ottawa Senators goaltender Joonas Korpisalo was blinded during the game because a door at balcony level was open.
The sunlight was streaming into the arena and completely blinding him. It's clearly a first during an NHL game.
