Big decision made involving Logan Mailloux and Arber Xhekaj
In the next few minutes as of writing these lines, the match between the Laval Rocket and the New York Rangers' farm team will get underway.
It's notably a matchup between former teammates, as Alex Belzile now plays for the opposing team. By the way, if he had known he would be playing in the AHL, Belzile would undoubtedly have signed with Montreal/Laval.
For the occasion, Rocket coach Jean-François Houle decided to pair Logan Mailloux and Arber Xhekaj on the first defensive pair.
"After playing his first game in the American League on the left side of Brady Keeper on Wednesday, we will see Arber Xhekaj on the Rocket's first pair with Logan Mailloux tonight. The first time in 17 games that Mailloux is separated from Tobie Paquette-Bisson."

It promises to be an interesting matchup, as both players are very physical and capable of making beautiful plays. Mailloux is more spectacular, but Xhekaj is effective when he wants to be.
