Breaking: Two players, including a surprise one, have been sent to the Laval Rocket
In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens announced that forward Emil Heineman and defenseman Mattias Norlinder have been sent to the Laval Rocket for the upcoming season.
This is somewhat of a surprise since many experts believed that the Swedish defenseman would secure a spot with the Habs, especially after an outstanding training camp.
"Emil Heineman and Mattias Norlinder sent to the Rocket, announced by the CH.
In both cases, they deserved better and, in my opinion, would have helped the team." - Anthony Martineau
It wouldn't be surprising to see them with the main team soon, but this new wave of cuts confirms that no rookie from the organization managed to make Martin St-Louis' lineup for the opening game of the regular season.
