Cole Caufield's goal: the NHL has made a modification, and it's a first for Cayden Primeau
In Friday afternoon's game between the Canadiens and the Sharks, Cole Caufield finally ended his scoring drought by netting a goal at 5-on-5. It was a crucial goal, tying the game.
The Canadiens then secured the two points in a shootout but came close to conceding to the worst team in the league.
Fortunately, Cayden Primeau held his ground and gave his team a chance to win.
Speaking of Primeau, the NHL made a modification to Cole Caufield's goal, marking a first for him. Indeed, the goaltender was credited with an assist. This is his first point in the NHL.
"They added an assist on Caufield's goal to Cayden Primeau, his first career point in the NHL."

While a goaltender's primary goal is to stop pucks, it's always satisfying to see their name on the scoresheet!
