Excellent news for Alexis Lafrenière and the New York Rangers as the double Stanley Cup champion, Jonathan Quick, is on fire
Alexis Lafrenière is having the best start to his young career, without a doubt. The forward already has eight goals in 19 games and is producing at a pace of 52 points over 82 games.
Perhaps we are finally witnessing his breakthrough, which will undoubtedly reassure many fans. In addition to his brilliance, the Rangers are in very good hands right now thanks to a double Stanley Cup champion.
Indeed, Jonathan Quick seems to have found the fountain of youth, as he is simply unrecognizable since the beginning of the season. In seven games, he has a record of 6-0-1 and a save percentage of .930.
These are numbers worthy of a Vezina Trophy winner, nothing less. With Igor Shesterkin as the starting goaltender and Jonathan Quick seemingly on fire, along with Alexis Lafrenière waking up, the Rangers are poised to be dangerous in the playoffs this year.
Is this finally their year? New York hasn't seen the Stanley Cup since 1994, the season following the last triumph of the Canadiens.
