On Saturday night against the Bruins in Boston, the Canadiens were completely dominated by the home team. The score of 9-4 reflects the one-sided nature of the game.

After the match, Samuel Montembeault, who allowed eight goals, took the blame for the loss, although it wasn't solely his fault.

His teammates didn't support him, which is a shame because Monty has been performing well throughout the season.

In summary, it didn't go well for Montembeault, and there may be a reason why. The goalie took a shot to the neck area in the first period and tried to shake off the pain throughout the entire game.

Is Monty injured?

"It's concerning for Samuel Montembeault's neck. Why? Because on Saturday night, the goalie really seemed to be in pain in the neck.

He took a shot in the first period that appeared to shake him, and afterward, he spent the game shaking his neck during stoppages. He seemed quite uncomfortable, in fact."

It's quite worrying, as the Canadiens' #1 goalie wasn't himself after that.

"I saw a Samuel Montembeault who looked uncomfortable and hesitant after those goals." - Martin McGuire, Habs game commentator

If Monty is indeed injured in the neck and has to be sidelined, it will obviously not be good news for the Canadiens. This is a situation to monitor.
