Interesting acquisition of a goaltender in the Montreal Canadiens' organization
It may not be the news of the year, but something significant is happening with the Trois-Rivières Lions as the team has made the very interesting acquisition of goaltender Rylan Parenteau.
"The Trois-Rivières Lions have acquired the rights to goaltender Rylan Parenteau, a three-time U Sports Cup champion, from the Toledo Walleyes in exchange for future considerations." - Trois-Rivières Lions
Parenteau is a spectacular and athletic goaltender who has consistently posted impressive statistics. In his final university year, he maintained a save percentage of 0.938, securing 14 wins and one loss.
In the ECHL last year, he had a record of 12-7-4 with the Fort Wayne Komets.
He appears to be a strong candidate to climb the ranks and possibly make his way to the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Laval Rocket. More details will follow.
