Fans of the Montreal Canadiens are keeping a close eye on the American team at the World Juniors. While Owen Beck represents Canada, the prospects Lane Hutson and Jacob Fowler are the ones garnering the most attention.

This is understandable, given that we have not seen the two young players in the Canadiens' system yet. Moreover, they played crucial roles on Friday, with Hutson being a key defenseman for the team, and Fowler starting as the goaltender.

With a performance of over 26 minutes of ice time and an assist, Hutson was named player of the game for team USA, and Fowler secured the victory.

Lane Hutson, expected to sign his entry-level contract at the end of the NCAA season, is proving to be not only an offensive asset but also a crucial player in all situations, even in closely contested games like the 4-3 overtime victory.

As for Fowler, it will be a while before he joins the Canadiens' lineup, but he is destined for a bright future and is excelling in his early NCAA performances.
