Kent Hughes Acquisition: A new goaltender joins the Montreal Canadiens organization
It might seem like a lot, but Kent Hughes has just made a significant acquisition for the Laval Rocket.
As mentioned in the past few hours, with Antti Raanta on waivers, it was a great opportunity to claim him and send him to the American Hockey League (AHL) to help Laval, which has been struggling in goal.
Kent Hughes has ultimately opted for another goaltender by the name of Kasimir Kaskisuo.
"The Laval Rocket signed goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo to a professional tryout contract." - Laval Rocket
Nevertheless, it's still a solid addition, as Kaskisuo is a 30-year-old veteran who has had success in the AHL in the past. He has been playing in the top league in Sweden since last year.
