On Sunday, the Flyers placed goaltender Felix Sandstrom on waivers. Imagine if the Oilers or any other team in need of a goalie decided to give him a chance. That would take a potential client away from Hughes, especially since the Oilers are at the top of the list.
That's not the case, as Sandstrom went unclaimed, and teams looking for a goalie are still in the mix. We can even add the Flyers, who now have one less goaltender.
Currently, according to Elliotte Friedman's reports in recent days, there are at least two teams very interested in a Canadiens goalie, namely the Oilers and the Devils.
