Logan Mailloux gave a glimpse of what he will do for the Canadiens for a long time
In his first game at the rookie tournament, Logan Mailloux's performance left something to be desired. However, as the games progressed, the defenseman improved to the point where there was speculation about him starting the season in Montreal.
It was even a surprise to see him assigned to the Laval Rocket just before the team's closed retreat in Mont-Tremblant. But the young man has a lot to learn, and Jean-François Houle is taking good care of him. When he eventually joins the Canadiens, he will be ready.
Yesterday, during a game against the Senators (the farm team) in Belleville, Mailloux scored his first professional goal. He has scored goals like that in junior hockey, and he will continue to do so even in the NHL.
You can see the ease with which he joins the attack. His wrist shot is simply devastating. It's natural for him to make these kinds of plays, and we will be seeing it in Montreal for a long time!
