Major: Four players, including two significant names, are officially on the trade market
It's stirring in some NHL teams. Similar to the Canadiens two years ago, some organizations are resorting to a fire sale to rebuild their club.
This is indeed the case for the Canadiens' recent rivals, the Calgary Flames. According to Pierre LeBrun, four players will be traded before the trade deadline.
The players in question are defensemen Nikita Zadorov and Chris Tanev, along with two other big names. Indeed, Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanifin will also be traded.
Lindholm has the potential to be a point-per-game player in the NHL, while Hanifin is a solid defenseman in his zone, having already accumulated 50 points in a season. He is only 26 years old.
The Flames should be able to get good returns for these players. They need to completely change the team's culture, as it seems like all players want to leave. This was the case with Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk, among others.
