There is total confusion for the Canadiens, and Martin St-Louis finally confirms the news
The Canadiens will face the Vegas Golden Knights tonight at the Bell Centre. Since Samuel Montembeault got the last start against the Flames, it was initially expected that Jake Allen would be tasked with stopping the reigning Stanley Cup champions.
That's what the journalists mentioned this morning, but they quickly corrected themselves by announcing that it is, in fact, Cayden Primeau who will be in the net. Renaud Lavoie reported this.
It's important to note that journalists rely on the starting goalie's routine, and in 99% of cases, it accurately reflects who the coach trusts. In this case, there seemed to be some ambiguity.
Nevertheless, Martin St-Louis has confirmed that the young Primeau will be in front of the net.
